I chose Matilda for her pretty head and conformation - both Rain and Misty are her mammoth sized foals. At 53 inches, she is one inch too short at the withers to be a Mammoth. |

Four of our Mammoth jennets went to Texas this spring (2007) for breeding to a spotted refined jack, My Buddy Bowtie, owned by Janet Vance of Weatherford, Texas. We will hopefully have 4 baby mammoth donkeys in late April 2008. See pictures of My Buddy Bowtie on Janet's website. We chose him because he has a pretty head and great conformation, is gentle and smart, and because he usually produces foals larger than himself, often with spots. Photos will be coming soon. |

To the right, is a picture of a rare breed of donkey from France known as a Poitou. This is where dreadlocks originated. |
